					<description><![CDATA[Perhaps it is a good thing to mention: Salt is not set in Flanders, Belgium. It is set in the Netherlands, in one of the eastern provinces, close to the German border. Lende, the name of the village in the book, refers to Delden, a town where salt was accidentally found at the end of the 19th century, when a baron was looking for drinking water for the local population. Salt is still extracted there today. So there is a historical background to this story. Reugebrink is a Dutch writer living in Ghent (Belgium).]]></description>
